Uncle Fred (Fred Essex) Interviews on Ripley Radio

Fred Essex Directed Ripley Radio shows in the mid 1940's http://www.RipleyOddCast.com
I received a phone call from an Uncle I have not heard from or seen in 30 years! He is my Uncle Fred from Encino, California. Well I never knew this, but my Uncle Fred (Fred Essex) was the Director and Producer of a number of RIPLEY'S RADIO SHOWS back in the mid 1940's! I had no idea. He is 91 years old and remembers everything from that era and had some great stories to tell about Bob Ripley. I connected my Uncle with the VP of Ripley's communications and they interviewed him on RIPLEY RADIO September 9th, 2011.
"The programs were 15 minutes long. The Ripley show, sponsored by American Cigarette and Cigar Company for Pall Mall Cigarettes (A Subsidiary of the American Tobacco Company) aired Monday thru Friday over Mutual with four days originating from the theater in the Barbizon Plaza Hotel which held several hundred in the audience."I couldn't pass up the possibility of connecting Uncle Fred with the RADIO SHOW! This is audio from the interview that aired on September 9th, 2011....
