Call to Artists: The REED Charitable Foundation’s Inaugural Dyslexia Experience & Gala
If you are an artist with dyslexia, the REED Charitable Foundation, invites you to submit original art to be shown as part of a virtual gallery experience at their inaugural fundraiser event on October 24, 2020. Both dyslexic and non-dyslexic artists interested in supporting this cause are also invited to donate artwork to the silent auction.
Please contact Jennifer Knopf at firstname.lastname@example.org by September 1, 2020 to submit artwork. All questions related to art drop off and pickup, the virtual gallery experience and silent auction should be directed to Jennifer at RCF.
The REED Charitable Foundation was created to educate, provide support and empower the dyslexic community. Celebrating its first full year in existence, RCF’s Dyslexia Experience & Gala: The Artists, is REED Charitable Foundation’s largest fundraiser to date with proceeds helping further our mission of education and community engagement that support improved literacy for all children.
RCF also started a free, public Community Education events series bringing exceptional speakers to the area to educate our schools, teachers, families and students on topics like the dyslexic experience, assistive technology, self-esteem, anxiety and the social-emotional aspects of living with a learning difference.
Proceeds from the Dyslexia Experience & Gala 2020 will support teacher scholarships and increase their ability to offer academic scholarships for students. Their ultimate goal is to make sure every child feels empowered and has an opportunity to learn to read, write and spell.
