We've had several people visit us here at Tastings, A Wine Experience in downtown Orlando and declare, "I love Pinot Noir but I don't care for Burgundy". The burgundy bottles are nestled in the same Enomatic machine as the Pinot Noirs. But why?
What most of the world calls burgundy wine, we call Pinot Noir. Burgundy is the same as 'Pinot Noir' here in America. To be a true burgundy, however, it must come from the Burgundy region of France. That's splitting hairs for most of us. It's…

I woke up today and thought to myself how wonderful the gift of life is. I feel good and I am thankful. It may not be perfect right now I know, because I I broken my ankle (this can be very inconvenient at times), but it does not stop here. There is so much more to look forward to as long as I "find" (resources are all around me) my own accomplishments. A this moment, I am working towards them. I do what I can with what I have, and that is all I can do. The gift of life gives me another day to…

In celebration of his exhibit at Roho Art & Coffee, Daniel, an airbrush artist for 18 years, decided to create unique works for the exhibit using brewed coffee to paint his subjects on burlap. The experiment was a great success with the result being beautiful works in spite of the rough media and limited use of color. Daniel's talent shines through the rich dark brown of the coffee and the rough background of burlap. A must see. And -- the pieces are extremely reasonably priced.

Newest children's poem below:
Someone Stole My Funny
I close my eyes to search in my head
Looking for something funny
I roll them around so much in my brain
It makes my nose really runny
So why is it so hard to find it
In the ten percent I do use
Someone please call the police
Better yet call the news
For I think someone stole it
We'll have to find evidence
Look in holes close to my brain
To find…

It is becoming all too familiar being without a job being left to roam the city streets but having the eyes of a photographer and the heart of an art lover. Oh, and did I state being a 6'2" African American. Today I tried to visit what I thought was the ART DEPARTMENT at City Hall. Perhaps I was just being to direct when I answered, the security guard when she asked, "where are you going"?. I was busy pinning the orange VISITORS paper sign to my chest. Least anyone suspect me of being a…
