I am sad to see our guitars leave Downtown...especially Donna Dowless' Love guitar that was at the Downtown Orlando Information Center. The guitars have been great conversational pieces for our guests.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the gorgeous weather outside. My weekly visit to the
Downtown Orlando Farmer's Market was another opportunity for me to rejuvenate and gear up for another busy week in the arts.
At the market, I was introduced to a lovely young woman who was a vocalist for the
Orlando Opera… Continue

Thank you to all the die hard art patrons who navigated all the closed streets and full parking lots to attend this month's 3rth Thursday gallery hop. There were many great art events to attend including the show I put together at Galley at Avalon Island. It is one of the best shows we have held since I took over managing the gallery nearly 2 1/2 years ago, and includes local legend Johann Eyfells and painter Amjad Jamal, not to mention some artwork by artist Robin Van Arsdol that most people…

WHAT & WHY? Pinklight Bazaar is a reoccurring female-powered event created to support & raise awareness about the breakthrough arts & crafting community in Orlando and beyond! We usually have two events per year.
Although the events are centered on girls, gentlemen are more than welcome to attend AFTER the ladies happy hour (which happens the first hour of each event), though they must be very…

The other night I took a break from the grind and was transported to my childhood through an automobile that swims, flies, and rescues people in distress. If you’re looking for an escape, (which most of us are) I’d definitely recommend taking advantage of a performance of
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which runs now through April 19th.
In the meantime, leave your work behind tonight and come out and…

For those that don't know me well, I'm a huge nature enthusiast. Needless to say, the past weekend's incredible weather was well received. As the weekend came to a close, I enjoyed Easter Brunch at Graze downtown with a group of close friends. We sat outside on the patio, enjoyed some incredible food, and bathed in the cool breeze . . . all the while sitting next to some fellow Kent State grads, which is home to my alma mater. Small world!!!…

Here's a juicy tidbit from me! During a recent walkabout downtown I noticed there's beauty on every corner; whether it's public art or just pretty faces, I never get bored with the eye candy all around downtown. Day or night, there's always something fresh and new (and some old) things to look at and experience. Regardless, there's an appreciation that goes unsaid.
What gets your attention?
Share your stories and downtown…
