DOUG GRIFFITH

Doug Griffith has been creating art since he was in kindergarten. He studied commercial and fine art at Shepherd University and character animation and film at The California Institute of the Arts. Over the past 28 years he has worked professionally as an animator, character designer, graphic artist, illustrator, digital sculptor, product designer, and art director for Walt Disney World and is the Principle Creative Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering.

Doug will share with us about his career journey and conduct a unique workshop for our YAG members showing some of the most preliminary steps in animation character creation.

Artwork created at the workshop will be showcased in the Young Artists Group’s September “Imagining“ art exhibit at the CityArts Factory.
