The First Annual Homespun Chic Marketplace will take place on Sunday, August 8th from 2:30pm to 6pm at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market located in Downtown Winter Park. The event will feature 19 local artisans, selling their handmade wares varying from postcards to plush; children’s clothing to chic jewelry, and everything in between.
Independent artisans and designers from around Central Florida will be in attendance, offering handcrafted wares. Fueled by the “Buy Handmade” movement, the marketplace is at the backbone of a growing craft culture, seeking to prove to Americans that high quality, everyday items are easily available at places other than the mall. The marketplace also offers shoppers an easy way to give back to the community. A portion of this year's event sales will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida®
