We love art. We love all of the passion and creativity that goes into it. There’s something so powerful about it, something that can make people feel.  So much of this passion is involved in creating art. Each line drawn, each stroke brushed, each piece assembled, each photograph taken, each move danced, each act performed – everything has purpose. Everything has reason and can equally convey a message. The creative aspect of art is something incredible. It’s baffling to know that people can look at the same thing, yet see it in so many different ways. But then again, that’s the beauty of it.

There are an infinite number of reasons to appreciate visual and performing arts. Among them stands one reason in particular, one so valuable that it cannot be overlooked – the community. Art wields a great power to bring people together. It is something so universal that it breaks all boundaries of culture and language for both artists and art appreciators, alike.

Our mission is to advance the arts in Downtown Orlando. In an effort to do so, we want to share the works of artists currently exhibiting or performing in Downtown Orlando. We encourage you to do the same and ask that you share any artistic happenings that inspire you in the comments section. Help us spread the love for art.

The City Arts Factory does an wonderful job of advancing the appreciation of art in the most diverse community. I've made so many friends there and continue to make new ones every month.
My friends are all ages and all cultures and languages. This has blessed my life, given me an opportunity to show my work, allowing it to grow, and to talk, talk, talk to great people. Amazing.... Thank you!

millions of tourists and art lovers visit every year the Basilica of St. Peter's in Vatican City - Rome, where the famous Cappella Sistina by Michelangelo is its most famous attraction. Just in the same location there's The Historic Art Museum of the Treasury of St. Peter's Basilica. Well, some of Enzo Carnebianca's art works are permanently shown in the Museum. I invite the beautiful city of Orlando to exhibit soonest one of his sculptures

wishing Orlando exhibiting soonest one of the art works by Enzo Carnebianca the only Italian living artist with permanent works shown in the Historic Art Museum at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City Rome. Some of his art works are now showing at Merrick Village Coral Gables Miami and the one shown in this post is in the Coral Gables Museum garden. Watch this videoclip on youtube :     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81dq-gK5ns0

You will then notice some of his art works  next to the original mold in clay of the Pieta' by Michelangelo.

Make sure that your beautiful city will soon host Enzo Carnebianca

I'm with you Barbara.  I love being part of the community and seeing my friends as we gather for our weekly and monthly art happenings.  The art that we create reflects our experiences within our community, and the feelings that we experience from our interactions with one another.

One thing for you to personally reflect on, art is more than just paint and canvas.  It is even more than wood and stone.  It is also movement and music.  A true community should also include in every event, the opportunity to showcase dance and original music.  These last two elements are not as integral to current events as they should be.  While I was pleasantly surprised to hear the harpist at last month's 3rd Thursday event, her repertoire was all covers I believe.  Original compositions in musical performances should be sought after just as much as when you select painters or sculpters from the masses.  Originality should always be prized, rewarded and showcased.   A truly viable community should embrace all the arts equally, not just the painters and photographers.  I can tell you that there are many talented and very original musical artists in Central Florida that would love to be included in your showcases.  I, counting myself among them.  Though this comment is not about me, but simply about expanding the definition of whom should be counted within our community.  With respect.  Stephen

Well said, Barbara!  Thanks for all that you do to make us come together as an art community.
