The New Golden Era of Movies in Downtown

WOW! The Grand Opening for the Plaza Cinema Cafe last week was incredible! Being amidst the crowd at this historic downtown event was something I was very proud to be a part of. If you missed it and haven't yet been to the new venue, it's a MUST on the "to-do" list. It is without a doubt the best theater facility in Orlando.

Just days before the opening, I walked through the empty hallways and… Continue

Hello all my wonderful artists friends,

For all you talents working with recycled and unusual materials a unique opportunity has arisen. Our friends David Solano together with Delivery Signs LLC are working on going GREEN. Their intention is to help local and regional artists in some way while maintaining their GREEN efforts, and donate the unused and scrap products they have that are non recyclable by traditional means. David and Delivery Signs feels there is no better idea than to… Continue

Chitty Chitty Hop Hop!

The other night I took a break from the grind and was transported to my childhood through an automobile that swims, flies, and rescues people in distress. If you’re looking for an escape, (which most of us are) I’d definitely recommend taking advantage of a performance of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which runs now through April 19th.

In the meantime, leave your work behind tonight and come out and… Continue

Good Friends, Great Food, My Dog and Lake Eola Park… It’s My Small World After All!

For those that don't know me well, I'm a huge nature enthusiast. Needless to say, the past weekend's incredible weather was well received. As the weekend came to a close, I enjoyed Easter Brunch at Graze downtown with a group of close friends. We sat outside on the patio, enjoyed some incredible food, and bathed in the cool breeze . . . all the while sitting next to some fellow Kent State grads, which is home to my alma mater. Small world!!!… Continue

Here's a juicy tidbit from me! During a recent walkabout downtown I noticed there's beauty on every corner; whether it's public art or just pretty faces, I never get bored with the eye candy all around downtown. Day or night, there's always something fresh and new (and some old) things to look at and experience. Regardless, there's an appreciation that goes unsaid.

What gets your attention?

Share your stories and downtown… Continue
