Enjoy your stay.  As you can see from all the responses there is no shortage of things to do.  If you want to travel about 20 miles.  Sanford and Mt. Dora are great art towns.  Mt. Dora is a little more gentile whereas Sanford is a bit more on the funky side.  Lot's to see art wise in both.

The coolest music and art venue in town is a house concert called Timucua.  It's usually on Sunday evenings at 7:00 at the White House.  The venue was built specifically to host these concerts.  There is no admission charge, however guests are asked to bring a bottle of wine or a substantial food item to share.  See for details.

Check out the Grand Bohemian Gallery, located in downtown Orlando, featuring local, national, and international artists painting in everything from coffee to acrylics and oils. The current Heart and Soul exhibit features Orlando's own emabassador of love, Donna Dowless mixed media, Audrey Phillips, acrylic and ecaustic works filled with her own personal reflection of the emotions of the gulf oil spill and the healing aspects of time. The hotel is amazing and filled with art, sculpture, music and fabulous food.
