Are you someone who wants to get involved in the Downtown Arts Community?

The Downtown Arts District and the CityArts are currently seeking volunteers to assist in the following areas:

INFORMATION DESK
The person in this role will welcome all of the guests that visit CityArts each day. A person in this position should be familiar with Downtown Orlando and arts and cultural happenings and have a welcoming personality. CityArts is open Tuesday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Closed, Monday, and major holidays)

SPECIAL EVENTS
How would you like to assist with a special performance, reception, or wedding? If you’re fast learner that’s well coordinated and can multi-task, this might just be the perfect match. You’ll assist our Sales Management with everything, so don’t be afraid of the heavy lifting. A person in this role MUST be flexible with their hours and does what it takes to create a seamless and memorable experience for our guests.

GREETER
We’re looking for a greeter to welcome guests attending the monthly Third Thursday Gallery Hop (6:00-9:00 p.m.) You’ll help us distribute guide maps and inform people of the exciting happenings going on around town. The person in this role must know downtown like the back of their hand.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
The person in this role will assist with day-to-day operations of CityArts. This could include everything from database entry and answering phone calls to assisting with deliveries and mailings. We’ll need an organized person that’s good at multi-tasking to fill this role.

DEVELOPMENT & FUNDRAISING
The person in this role needs to be connected with the business community. We’re looking for a business professional that has excellent writing and oral communication skills that is willing to assist with managing donor databases. This person will assist in researching possible funding sources, granting opportunities, and corporate donors.

SOCIAL MEDIA
Web savvy is essential to filling this position. We’re looking for someone that’s addicted to social media and likes to stay connected. You’ll assist with updating the Downtown Arts District’s social network (OrlandoSlice.com). You’ll also help us emerge on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and the like. This person needs to be an excellent online communicator with superb grammatical skills. This person can assist from the home or office... how’s that for flexibility!
