CITYARTS FACTORY DIRECTORY

From vibrant and ornate to intimate and serene, works are displayed throughout CityArts Factory to delight, inspire, and allow the viewer to experience them in a way that a museum never could. CityArts Factory, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization managed by the Downtown Arts District, is open free of charge Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located at 29 South Orange Avenue. {THIRD THURSDAY FEATURED EXHIBITION: What Moves You?}
{OPENING RECEPTION: August 19 from 6-11 p.m.}


CityArts Factory presents: What Moves You? -- A series of interactive installations surrounding the theme of transportation that will include all participating galleries*. Just steps away from CityArts Factory’s main entrance, visitors on Pine Street will enjoy a mobile interaction experience, featuring a 10-foot projection sphere which will display text and imagery surrounding the theme of transportation in Central Florida, inspired by SunRail.

This exhibition is made possible through a collaborative partnership with the Downtown Arts District, CityArts Factory, School of Visual Art & Design at the University of Central Florida, City of Orlando, Metroplan, Downtown Development Board, SunRail, High Speed Rail, Airstar America and Orlando Museum of Art.

Description: The subway platform lights flash and the ground begins to move. The warning horn echoes. Minutes.

Description: Ridership: the average quantity of passengers (“patrons”) carried per certain time in a mode of public transit system.

Title: Telekinetic Transportation
Description: This installation levies the power of mind and body control to fuel a user-generated journey though abstract imagery, sound and music.

SAK Comedy Lab
Offering the best in improvisational theater, SAK Comedy Lab at CityArts Factory's Eola Capital Loft offers live performances five nights a week, suitable for all ages. SAK Comedy Lab is also home to SAK University, the largest improvisational training school in the southern United States.

Third Floor Loft

A boutique marketing agency, Intellavia offers a full-service menu providing results-driven solutions for internet, advertising, branding, e-marketing and software development needs.

Fourth Floor Executive Suites

Home to the Downtown Arts District executive offices which oversees the funding, management and operations of CityArts Factory. This suite also houses administration for SAK Comedy Lab.

Just had my 50th Birthday Party at City Arts Factory - what a fantastic venue for a special event. Many of my guests had never been to City Arts Factory and they were all impressed. Thanks again to Shanon and your team for a fantastic evening!
