2016%20Historic%20Preservation%20Board%20Calendar%20Photographic%20...The HPB's annual calendar competition is closing in two weeks. Here is info about this year's theme and guidelines- and most important: winning photographs will earn the photographer $100. The photography competition is open to anyone (with the exception of the HPB members).
Each year the Historic Preservation Board produces a beautiful calendar which focuses on historic resources throughout our City. The Historic Preservation Board selects a different theme for each calendar and residents throughout Central Florida compete in a photography competition to be selected for our calendar. The theme for the 2016 HPB Calendar is “Bungalows of Orlando’s Historic Districts”.
Bungalows are one of the most popular architectural styles throughout all of Orlando’s residential historic districts. They were the reigning architectural style during the Florida housing boom of the 1920s and some of Orlando’s bungalows date to the turn-of-the century. Each winning photograph selected will earn the photographer a $100 honorarium sponsored by the McCoy Federal Credit Union.
Each contestant may submit up to three black and white photos printed on 8” x 10” or 8 ½” X 11” photo paper. Each photo should be labeled on the back with the contestant’s name, daytime telephone number and the address of the subject. This year’s submission deadline is July 10, 2015 at 5 p.m.
