The Orlando Fringe is pleased to announce the expansion of the visual arts component of the Orlando Fringe Festival!
The Visual Fringe will still have the traditional Visual Fringe Gallery, where the artwork is entirely unjuried and uncensored; every artist receives 100% of the profits from the sales of their art, and where everyone is welcome to enter their art. However, this year, the Visual Fringe is expanding and moving into its own home — a 13,000 ft2 warehouse, with plenty of parking.
Aside from the Fringe Gallery, the warehouse will be filled a market of some of the best art Central Florida has to offer, music, sculpture garden, outdoor installations, food trucks, and miniature golf! The new Visual Fringe warehouse will be open from 6pm – 10pm daily and 12pm – 8:00pm on the weekends from May 15 – 26. Miniature golf, food trucks, and live music will be featured on the weekends.
First, for those artists interested in displaying their work at the Visual Fringe Gallery, you should fill out the attached application. Note that it differs from previous Fringe applications, so please read over it carefully before signing. Then bring your signed form with you when you deliver your artwork on Fri, May 10 between 5pm & 9pm OR Sat, May 11 between 12pm & 6pm. Please make sure your artwork is gallery ready, and be sure to drop off your artwork ONLY within the hours of acceptance at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater. Just click HERE for Gallery Application (The application is designed to print double-sided, so save a sheet of paper if you can.)
Second, We would like to invite all area artists to help us fill our new warehouse that new space! In addition to the artwork in the Fringe Gallery, the warehouse space will offer booth rental space to display and sell your art. The booth rental is $45 for the weekend, with a $5 discount for registrations made before May 1st. Each space is 8’ by 8’, with one table provided and additional tables available for a $5 fee. Additionally, all participating booth vendors will receive 2 spaces to display their work in the Fringe Gallery space, and a Fringe button. Interested artists should fill out the following Online Survey and the vendor/artist APPLICATION.
We’re also looking for more artists to help design and develop the holes for the miniature golf course, create outdoor installations/street art, and the sculpture garden. Please respond ASAP if you would like to participate in any of these. (Proceeds miniature golf donations will be split evenly with participating artists.)
