Event Description

Join us for a talk with cartoonist Glenn “Marty” Stein.  Stein began creating editorial cartoons for the student newspaper The Independent Florida Alligator while attending the University of Florida in the 1980s.  Through the 90s he was the editorial cartoonist for The Orlando Business Journal and The Apopka Chief.  But in January 2000 Stein took a profound change in direction. For the next eight and a half years he drew cartoons for the Central Florida Spanish-language newspaper La Prensa, even creating an original comic strip. The subjects for his editorial cartoons were not restricted to Hispanic-related topics, but also dealt with events that affected all people at the state, national and international levels.
