Students should bring "Memory-ware", ie. dishes, plates, saucers, etc- glass/ceramic materials to incorporate into and personalize their work... bring extra to share! There will also be some "Memory-ware" provided.
In this course students will create a portrait of their own choosing. Emphasis will be on picassiete, using dishes and pottery, to develop texture & pattern within your work. This technique is time consuming, so a finished portrait is not expected at the end of the two day workshop, however the eyes and a good portion of the face can be completed, depending on the experience of each student. I will assist each student in mapping out a plan for completion of their work at home. This workshop is intended for intermediate to advanced mosaic artists, and should not be used as an introduction to mosaics.
