Lincoln Property Company Southeast will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 10 for the new 44-foot tall murals at One Eleven, a 31-story mixed-use high-rise encompassing office, retail and luxury residential space known as Aspire apartments, downtown Orlando.
Mayor Buddy Dyer and Scott Stahley, Senior Vice President for Lincoln who oversees the firm’s central Florida office, will speak at the event, which will be held from 5:30p.m.-7:30. The mayor will speak at 6 p.m., with the ribbon cutting to follow. Complimentary craft beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served at The Shisha Bowl, and guests are encouraged to follow along on social media using #PaintTheCityBeautiful.
Lincoln held a competition in conjunction with the local arts community to select the new murals, and the winners were announced in July. Lincoln and the board members of See Art Orlando, including Mayor Buddy Dyer, judged the entries. The pieces chosen include “E Scape in Blue” and “The Universe in my Head” by Marla E and “The Continental Shelf” by Roberto Gonzalez. The winning artists will have their work displayed over the streets of Downtown Orland for five years.
