Show Theme:  On Location: Mapping, Adventure & Travel

To map (verb) is to chart, plot, delineate, draw, depict or portray.  Artists have not only mapped places, but also memories, ideas, concepts, experiences, and emotions.  Artists have mapped their daily walking routes, routes of migratory birds, city tourist activity, social media connections, dreams, and possible futures.  Anything that can be tracked or followed can be mapped.  Artists have also used maps aesthetically and symbolically, as canvases and as collage materials.  This 3^rd Thursday exhibit will feature art that incorporates maps or mapping in any way, shape or style.  The exhibit is also open to work that depicts adventures and travels.  Non-traditional uses of the map or mapping techniques are encouraged!  All media accepted.
