Artist Chelsea Smith grew up living between Casselberry, Florida staying summers in Nottingham, England and Derry, Northern Ireland to visit family. The results of those experiences are reflected in her art as she works exclusively with etched copper plating, using only renaissance era tools and techniques. Chelsea has accumulated an impressive number of national rated art show juried awards, selected to be the poster artist for several festivals, and is currently retailing original artwork within Universal Studios Orlando. She is a featured artist within the Bowersock Gallery in Providence Town Cape Cod and continues to increase her gallery presence. On display in this solo show are pieces from Chelsea’s two ongoing series, Sacred Feminine and Celtic Mythology. The latter series explores the stories of the Irish epic Táin Bó Cúailnge and also Scottish, Welsh and Nordic animal symbology of ancient civilizations and folklores.
