Call for Artists: Young Artists Group (YAG), Ages 15-21

Exhibition Title: Here on Earth

Dates:  April 21, 2016 – May 13, 2016

Opening Reception: Third Thursday April 21, 2016 6-9pm

 
Description:  From Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights (circa 1503) to the Land artists of the 1960s and 70s, visual artists have offered innumerable interpretations of the earth, its power and its fragility.  These interpretations have changed over time, as have conditions on earth.  In recognition of Earth Day, works inspired by earth or made from earth are invited, as are works depicting environmental concerns, controversies or issues.  Young Artist Group (YAG) members are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly, in terms of choice of media and content.
