I'm still recuperating from a busy arts weekend in Central Florida. There was a lot of ballet to see — "Carmen" on Friday night, then Orlando Ballet's charming "Beauty and the Beast" on Saturday. It was heartening to see so many parents introducing their children to ballet (and there were some child-free folks at the performance, presumably just appreciating the fine dancing).
The 2014-15 theater season from Beth Marshall Presents is headlined by a yearlong collaborative effort exploring the killing of Trayvon Martin and how it relates to society.
